Day 20 – PURPOSE

Scripture Reading: Colossians 1:16

It’s been fun learning about purpose hasn’t it? Purpose has so much to do with why we’re here and what we’re going to do with our lives. When we’re living out our purpose, we get into a “flow.” This is when things seem to move smoothly, and when challenges do come up, we’re better able to deal with them. Another benefit of purpose is that we often don’t feel like we’re working hard when we are working hard. Let me give you an example. Do you have a favorite sport? Or a favorite class at school? Think of that right now. Now think about how you feel when you’re working on homework for that class or practicing for that sport compared to when you’re working on other things. Is there a difference? I bet there is. When you’re living out your purpose in life, you enjoy what you’re doing, and it comes naturally to you. God has given you unique gifts, personality traits, interests, and experiences. He did this on purpose so you’ll glorify Him and bring good to others in the unique way that only you can!

Ha sido divertido aprender sobre propósito, ¿no? El propósito tiene tanto que ver por qué estamos aquí y lo que vamos a hacer con nuestras vidas. Cuando estamos viviendo nuestro propósito, nos metemos en un "fluir". Esto es cuando las cosas parecen moverse sin problemas, y cuando surgen desafíos, somos más capaces de lidiar con ellos. Otro beneficio del propósito es que a menudo no sentimos que estamos trabajando duro cuando estamos trabajando duro. Déjame darte un ejemplo. ¿Tienes un deporte favorito? ¿O una clase favorita en la escuela? Piense en eso ahora mismo. Ahora piense en cómo se siente cuando estás trabajando en la tarea para esa clase o practicando para ese deporte comparado con cuando estás trabajando en otras cosas. ¿Hay una diferencia? Apuesto que sí. Cuando estás viviendo tu propósito en la vida, disfrutas de lo que estás haciendo, y esto te viene naturalmente. Dios te ha dado dones únicos, rasgos de personalidad, intereses y experiencias. ¡Él te hizo a propósito para que lo glorifiques y traigas el bien a los demás de la manera única que sólo tú puedes!
