Day 12 – FRIENDS

Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastes 4:10

This day we’re learning about friends. A friend is someone who is close to you and is going in the same direction you’re going. It’s important to make sure you have friends who want to make God happy with the way they live. Having people like these as friends will help you continue living a strong life for God. Some friends are good and some are bad. Which of your friends love God and live for Him? Which friends don’t live for God? 

Activity:

For today’s activity, everyone will need a sheet of paper and a pen. Draw a line down the middle of your paper, creating two sections. At the top of the section on the left, write the words Following Him. At the top of the section on the right, write the words Not Following Him. On the left side of the paper, list people in your life who live according to biblical standards. On the right side, list people in your life who don’t live that way. Limit each list to ten names, and don’t include family members. (After everyone has created their lists, talk together about why it’s important to have friends who reflect God’s standards and help us follow Him in the best way possible.) Let’s close in prayer, thanking God for godly friends who lift us up and bring out the best in us. Let us also pray for those around us that need Christ.

Día 12 – AMIGOS

Lectura Bíblica: Eclesiastés 4:10

Este día aprenderemos sobre los amigos. Un amigo es alguien que está cerca de ti y va en la misma dirección que tú. Es importante asegurarse de tener amigos que quieran hacer feliz a Dios con su forma de vida. Tener a personas como estas como amigos te ayudará a seguir viviendo una vida fuerte para Dios. Algunos amigos son buenos y otros malos. ¿Cuáles de tus amigos aman a Dios y viven para Él? ¿Qué amigos no viven para Dios?

Actividad:

Para la actividad de hoy, todos necesitarán una hoja de papel y un bolígrafo. Dibuja una línea en el medio de tu papel, creando dos secciones. En la parte superior de la sección de la izquierda, escriba las palabras Siguiéndolo. En la parte superior de la sección de la derecha, escribe las palabras No lo sigo. En el lado izquierdo del papel, enumere las personas en su vida que viven de acuerdo con los estándares bíblicos. En el lado derecho, enumere las personas en su vida que no viven de esa manera. Limite cada lista a diez nombres y no incluya miembros de la familia. (Después de que todos hayan creado sus listas, hablen juntos sobre por qué es importante tener amigos que reflejen las normas de Dios y nos ayuden a seguirlo de la mejor manera posible). Terminemos en oración, agradeciendo a Dios por los amigos piadosos que nos levantan lo mejor de nosotros. Oremos también por quienes nos rodean y necesitan a Cristo.
